Yoga for Beginners - A Four Week Course
14.00 - 15.30 │Sept 14th, 21st, 28th & Oct 5th │Samya Studios
Perhaps you’re newer to yoga, or returning to the practice after a while away. Perhaps you’re not, but you have a friend, partner or family member who is.
For four Sundays across September and early October, Anna is running a Yoga for Beginners course in collaboration with one of her favourite places, Samya Studios in Highbury. Anna and Samya have worked together to create a series that is accessible and informative, while also reflecting their belief that yoga is much more than a purely physical practice.
Expect to learn:
🌀 Why we practice yoga - an introduction to yoga philosophy
🌀 Foundational yoga postures and sequences that will enable you to feel confident and comfortable taking an all levels class
🌀 Supportive, uncomplicated meditation techniques
🌀 Calming breathwork
🌀 Rest (because it’s important!)
In order to make the course as accessible as possible, we are offering spaces on a sliding scale basis, depending on your personal financial circumstances. Prices range from £80 to £110.
YOGA FOR PEACE - a workshop series
Yoga for Peace was born out of the horror and helplessness instilled by witnessing the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
Along with her friend and fellow teacher Rhona Frances, Anna decided to create a space to come together and grieve, while at the same time cultivate a sense of resilience, purpose and, ultimately, hope. All funds from these workshops go to a carefully chosen charity.
The first Yoga for Peace session was held in June 2025, and raised a staggering £750 for Ele Elna Elak. Blown away by the generosity of their students and the value in sharing a space to feel what is often so challenging to feel, it felt right to make this a semi-regular offering.
The format of each workshop will vary, as will the timings and the chosen charity. The offering is in collaboration with Hello Yoga Studio, a warm, welcoming, community focused space where both Rhona and Anna have the privilege to teach regular classes.
